Size and Fit Guide

Which Strider is right for your child?

Learning to ride is a major milestone for every child! Choosing a bike that fits your little one properly makes all the difference.

How to measure a child's inseam

Why measuring your child's inseam matters

  • What size bike should I buy? The best bike size for your child is one that fits from the start. The best way to know is to measure your child's inseam.
  • What about their age? Age is only a rough guide. Inseam length is far more accurate — trust us.
  • What is an inseam? The inseam is the distance from the floor to the crotch.
  • Why does measuring the inseam matter? Children of the same age have different heights and leg lengths. Measuring the inseam ensures a proper fit, helping your child succeed and gain confidence faster.
  • How do I measure it? Have your child stand upright wearing shoes. Place a book between their legs and slide it up to the crotch, as if sitting on a saddle. Measure from the top edge of the book to the floor.
